Advancing Research in Economics, Management, and Accounting

Jurnal Econmark Accounting (JEA) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing theoretical, empirical, and applied knowledge in three interconnected academic disciplines: economics, management, and accounting. The journal provides an academic platform for disseminating original research that contributes to the understanding of economic systems, managerial practices, organizational performance, financial reporting, and accountability.

JEA welcomes methodologically rigorous studies addressing contemporary economic and business challenges at local, national, regional, and international levels. Manuscripts must demonstrate a clear contribution to at least one of the journal's three core disciplines through well-defined research questions, appropriate analytical methods, reliable evidence, and meaningful theoretical or practical implications.

Relevant topics include corporate governance, financial technology, sustainable finance, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, business ethics, artificial intelligence in business, financial transparency, digital transformation, and sustainable organizational development. Such studies must establish an identifiable contribution to at least one core discipline.
Research Approaches
JEA welcomes original research employing quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, experimental, econometric, comparative, and case-study approaches. Eligible studies may utilize primary or secondary data, including financial statements, corporate disclosures, economic indicators, organizational records, surveys, interviews, and observational evidence. The research design and analytical procedures must be appropriate to the research questions.
Research Context and Unit of Analysis
Research may investigate firms, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), financial institutions, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, capital markets, economic sectors, households, communities, and other relevant economic or organizational units. Studies from developed and developing economies are welcome.
What Constitutes a Relevant Contribution?
A manuscript is considered within scope when its central research problem, theoretical framework, analytical focus, and findings contribute substantively to economics, management, or accounting. The mere use of financial data, business respondents, statistical methods, or organizational settings does not automatically establish disciplinary relevance. Authors must explicitly demonstrate how their research advances knowledge, informs practice, or addresses a relevant problem within the journal's academic disciplines.
Outside the Journal's Scope
JEA does not consider manuscripts primarily concerned with:
  • Educational methods, curriculum development, or instructional media without substantive economic, managerial, or accounting contributions.
  • Clinical, biomedical, or health sciences research without a clearly defined health economics, healthcare management, or financial accountability focus.
  • Pure engineering, software development, or technical product design without meaningful business, economic, or accounting analysis.
  • Legal, political, sociological, or cultural studies without a substantial connection to the journal's core disciplines.
  • Descriptive business reports that lack systematic methodology, analytical depth, or a demonstrable scholarly contribution.
  • Manuscripts that do not demonstrate methodological rigor, originality, or a clear disciplinary fit.
Mandatory Editorial Fit
Every manuscript submitted to Jurnal Econmark Accounting (JEA) must satisfy the following requirements:
01. The research addresses a substantive issue in economics, management, or accounting.
02. The manuscript clearly establishes its research problem, objectives, and disciplinary relevance.
03. The study demonstrates an appropriate theoretical or conceptual foundation.
04. The research employs a rigorous and transparent methodology.
