NexaAssist Journal of Inclusive Technology (NAJIT) supports responsible self-archiving, open scholarly communication, and the dissemination of research in assistive technology, digital accessibility, inclusive educational technology, and disability-related innovation. Authors are permitted to deposit and share their published articles through legitimate academic and non-commercial repositories in accordance with the journal's open-access, copyright, and licensing policies.
Authors may deposit the published Version of Record (VoR) of their NAJIT articles immediately after official publication. Deposited copies should preserve the original publication information, article content, licensing statement, and bibliographic identity. They must not be altered in a manner that misrepresents the officially published work.
Where a preprint or accepted manuscript has previously been shared, authors are encouraged to update the repository record with the final article citation, volume, issue, Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where assigned, and a direct link to the official Version of Record on the NAJIT journal website.
Authors may deposit published articles in legitimate, non-commercial scholarly locations, including:
- Institutional and university repositories.
- Disciplinary or subject-specific repositories.
- Research-center and academic institute repositories.
- Personal academic websites and researcher profiles.
- Institutional staff and faculty profile pages.
- Other legitimate non-commercial scholarly repositories.
Repositories focusing on accessibility, special education, assistive technology, and disability research are particularly encouraged when their deposit practices comply with the applicable license.
NAJIT does not impose an embargo period on the deposit of the published Version of Record. Authors may make their articles available in permitted repositories immediately after official publication, provided that the deposit complies with the journal's licensing, attribution, and publication integrity requirements.
Every deposited copy should clearly identify the original publication in NexaAssist Journal of Inclusive Technology (NAJIT). Where applicable, authors should include:
- Full name(s) of the author(s).
- Complete article title.
- Journal title and acronym (NAJIT).
- Volume and issue number.
- Year of publication.
- Page range or article number, where applicable.
- Digital Object Identifier (DOI), when assigned.
- A direct link to the official published article.
- The applicable Creative Commons license statement.
Deposited articles remain subject to the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) , consistent with the journal's stated open-access policy.
Users must provide appropriate attribution to the original author(s), cite the publication source, and comply with non-commercial reuse requirements. Any adapted material must be distributed under the same or a permitted compatible license. Separate permission may be required for uses not covered by the license.
The article published on the official NAJIT journal platform constitutes the authoritative Version of Record. Repository copies should include the full bibliographic citation and a direct link to the official publication to help readers identify, verify, and cite the definitive scholarly record.
In accordance with its commitment to disability inclusion, NAJIT encourages authors and repositories to maintain accessible document formats, descriptive metadata, meaningful alternative text for images, and accessible supplementary materials where feasible. These practices help improve access to scholarly information for persons with disabilities and users of assistive technologies.
Permission to deposit a NAJIT article does not automatically extend to third-party images, figures, datasets, software, or other materials included under separate copyright or licensing conditions. Authors and repository users remain responsible for complying with any applicable restrictions.
NexaAssist Journal of Inclusive Technology (NAJIT) encourages responsible self-archiving and dissemination of published research to improve scholarly visibility, accessibility, discoverability, and knowledge exchange while maintaining accurate attribution, respect for copyright, and the integrity of the official scholarly record.
