Archiving Policy

Long-Term Scholarly Record
Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy

Islamic Moral Architecture in Primary Education (IMAPE) is committed to preserving its published scholarly content and maintaining reliable long-term access to the journal's academic record. The journal supports appropriate digital-preservation mechanisms available through Open Journal Systems (OJS) and recognized preservation networks, including LOCKSS and CLOCKSS, subject to formal activation, technical configuration, eligibility, registration, and verification by the relevant preservation service.

Preservation Objectives
• Long-term accessibility of published articles
• Preservation of issue and article metadata
• Protection against accidental data loss
• Maintenance of publication authenticity
• Secure preservation of journal records
• Maintenance of readable digital formats
• Redundant preservation where available
• Continuity of the scholarly record
LOCKSS

LOCKSS — Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe is a distributed digital-preservation system that enables participating libraries to collect and preserve authorized copies of scholarly publications. Distributed copies can help protect content against loss, corruption, alteration, or prolonged unavailability of the journal's primary website.

CLOCKSS

CLOCKSS — Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe is a distributed preservation archive based on LOCKSS technology. It is designed to protect scholarly publications over the long term and may make preserved content openly available when an officially recognized trigger event occurs and the original publication becomes permanently unavailable.

Preservation Approach

IMAPE seeks to preserve published articles, issue metadata, article metadata, supplementary files, editorial records, and other relevant publication materials through appropriate technical and institutional mechanisms.

Preservation measures may include regular server and database backups, secure storage management, metadata preservation, file-format maintenance, repository deposit, redundant copies, and participation in recognized digital-preservation services when formally available to the journal.

Backup and Data Protection

The journal and publisher seek to maintain appropriate technical safeguards for journal files and publication records. Backup procedures are intended to reduce the risk of permanent data loss arising from system failure, accidental deletion, corruption, security incidents, or other technical disruptions.

Preservation Status

Publication of this policy does not by itself constitute a claim that IMAPE is currently archived in LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, or another external preservation network. Formal preservation status depends on successful technical configuration, network eligibility, participation, content deposit, and confirmation by the relevant preservation service.

Preservation Transparency

IMAPE will update this policy and its journal information when participation in an external preservation network has been officially activated and verified. The journal does not claim participation in a preservation service before formal confirmation.

Commitment to Scholarly Continuity

IMAPE is committed to protecting the accessibility, authenticity, integrity, and continuity of its published scholarly record so that high-quality research in Islamic morality and primary education remains available to present and future readers.
