Instructional Design and Ethical Pedagogy (IDEP) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal focusing on instructional and learning design that meaningfully integrates ethical, moral, religious, and human-centered values. The journal publishes original research and scholarly reviews addressing instructional design, educational technology, artificial intelligence in education, and related pedagogical innovations from value-oriented perspectives. IDEP does not consider studies focused solely on media or technology development, or instructional design that lacks substantive engagement with ethical, moral, or religious dimensions. The journal publishes three issues annually in April, August, and December with its inaugural issue published in August 2026.

Instructional Design and Ethical Pedagogy (IDEP) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal focusing on instructional and learning design that integrates ethical, moral, religious, and human-centered values. The journal welcomes original research and scholarly reviews examining how instructional design, educational technology, and artificial intelligence can contribute to effective, responsible, and value-oriented educational practices.

IDEP does not consider manuscripts focused solely on media development, technological products, or instructional design without substantive consideration of ethical, moral, or religious dimensions. All submissions must demonstrate a clear and meaningful connection between instructional or pedagogical design and these value-based perspectives.

Core Scope
Instructional and learning design integrating ethics, morality, religious values, and human-centered principles in educational theory, practice, technology, and artificial intelligence.
Outside the Journal's Scope
Media development, technological products, or instructional design studies that do not substantively address ethical, moral, or religious dimensions.
Publication Schedule
Three Issues per Year
The first issue of IDEP is published in August 2026 . Subsequent issues follow the regular publication schedule of April, August, and December.
