The Beginning of IDEP
Instructional Design and Ethical Pedagogy (IDEP) was established as a peer-reviewed scholarly journal to provide a focused academic platform for research at the intersection of instructional design, higher education, ethics, morality, character formation, and religious values.
The journal began its publication journey in August 2026 under CV. Erukasyah Lagaliora Publishing. From its inception, IDEP was positioned with a deliberately focused editorial scope, emphasizing primary empirical research that examines how instructional design in higher education can meaningfully integrate ethical, moral, character, and religious dimensions.

From its first volume, IDEP was designed to publish original primary empirical research. The journal does not prioritize Research and Development (R&D), product-development studies, systematic literature reviews, bibliometric studies, meta-analyses, or purely conceptual and theoretical manuscripts. This policy supports a focused body of evidence derived directly from authentic higher education teaching and learning contexts.
