Instructional Design and Ethical Pedagogy (IDEP) supports responsible self-archiving and scholarly dissemination of published research. Authors are permitted to deposit and share their published articles through legitimate academic and non-commercial repositories in accordance with the journal's open-access, copyright, and licensing policies.
Authors may deposit the published Version of Record of their IDEP article after publication. The deposited version should preserve the original journal publication information and should not be altered in a manner that misrepresents the officially published article.
Where an earlier manuscript version has previously been shared, authors are encouraged to update the record after publication by adding the full citation, DOI, and link to the official Version of Record on the IDEP website.
Authors may deposit their published articles in legitimate non-commercial scholarly locations, including:
- institutional repositories;
- university repositories;
- disciplinary or subject repositories;
- research-center repositories;
- personal academic webpages;
- institutional staff or researcher profiles;
- other legitimate non-commercial scholarly repositories.
IDEP does not impose an embargo period on the deposit of the published Version of Record. Authors may deposit the published article immediately after official publication, provided that the deposit complies with the journal's licensing and attribution requirements.
Any deposited copy should clearly identify the original publication in Instructional Design and Ethical Pedagogy (IDEP). Authors should include, where applicable:
- author name(s);
- article title;
- journal title;
- volume and issue;
- year of publication;
- page range or article number, where applicable;
- Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where assigned; and
- a link to the official journal version.
Deposited articles remain subject to the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
Users must provide appropriate attribution to the original author(s) and publication source. Deposited material may not be used primarily for commercial purposes, and adaptations must comply with the applicable ShareAlike conditions.
The article hosted on the official IDEP journal platform constitutes the authoritative Version of Record. Repository copies should therefore provide a citation and direct link to the official publication so that readers can identify and access the definitive scholarly record.
Permission to deposit an IDEP article does not automatically extend to third-party material included in the article under separate copyright or licensing terms. Authors and repository users remain responsible for complying with any restrictions applicable to such material.
IDEP encourages responsible deposit and dissemination of published research to increase scholarly visibility, accessibility, citation, and knowledge exchange while preserving accurate attribution and the integrity of the official scholarly record.
